As part of the international scientific collaboration between the Department of Drug Control Policy, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) of the United States signed in Rome in July 2011, has been defined a goal that concerns promotion and realization of studies and applied research in the field of neuroscience of addiction, and in particular of neuroimaging. To this end, the Department of Drug Control Policy, in collaboration with the NIDA, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Department of Addiction ULSS 20 Verona, published this book that aims to give professionals operating in dependency, both public services and private social, and researchers who work in the university, scientific information on the role of neuroimaging in the diagnostic practice of addictions and clinical perspectives and what possible these findings could lead to the treatment of addictions.
